RISE trainees receive practical guidance on freelancing and professional ethics, preparing them to turn their digital skills into sustainable career opportunities.
As part of the ongoing RISE Digital Skills Training Programme, trainees had the opportunity to receive a practical lecture on freelancing and professional ethics. The session was designed to prepare them for life beyond the classroom by equipping them with the right mindset and tools to navigate opportunities after the training.
The lecture highlighted freelancing as a gateway to global opportunities, allowing young people to showcase their skills, build strong portfolios, and earn sustainable income while working remotely.
Trainees were introduced to practical steps for entering the freelance space, including creating professional profiles, networking, pitching for jobs, and delivering quality services that build trust and credibility.
The session also emphasized the importance of professional ethics, including integrity, reliability, discipline, respect for clients, and excellence in service delivery. Trainees were reminded that opportunities do not come from skill alone, but also from character.
The engaging session left trainees motivated and better prepared to turn their newly acquired digital skills into thriving careers and entrepreneurial ventures.
