GEEEEP joins efforts to bridge the gender gap in technology by supporting digital skills training and opportunities for female students across Nigeria.

In advancing the goals of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, GEEEEP continues to support initiatives that promote greater access to education, skills, and opportunities for girls and young women.

A key part of this effort is equipping the girl child with relevant technology skills. At the CEOINHER Tech Program training seminar, Hadjia Salma Mohammed highlighted the importance of accelerating opportunities for women and providing them with the skills needed to participate meaningfully in the digital economy.

The CEOINHER Tech Program is designed to train female students across tertiary institutions in Nigeria in critical areas of technology, including cybersecurity, web development, graphic design, UI/UX design, and data analytics.

The training seminar brought together distinguished personalities and advocates committed to advancing opportunities for women and young people. Among those in attendance were Hon. Judith Ogbara, Chairman of the Board of GEEEEP; Hon. Hannatu Musawa, Honourable Minister for Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy; and Kie-Kie, digital content creator and brand influencer, alongside other notable guests.

Through initiatives that promote digital literacy and access to technology, GEEEEP continues to support the development of young Nigerian women and contribute to efforts aimed at narrowing the gender gap in the technology sector.
