GEEEEP explores strategic collaboration with the Akwa Ibom Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to advance inclusion, empowerment, and opportunities for women and girls.

The Chairman of the Gender Education, Engagement, Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Program (GEEEEP), Hon. Dr. Mrs. Judith Mayen Ogbara, paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs in Akwa Ibom State. She was warmly received on behalf of the Commissioner by the Permanent Secretary, Deaconess Eno Ime Akpan.

The meeting provided an opportunity for fruitful discussions on key areas of collaboration, particularly in alignment with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda. Both parties explored strategic areas of partnership that could benefit women and girls while strengthening humanitarian interventions across the state.

Central to the discussions was the forthcoming launch of RISE, Renewed Hope for Inclusion, Support & Empowerment, a flagship initiative of the GEEEEP office. The programme is designed to advance inclusion and empowerment for the girl child and vulnerable groups and is scheduled to be officially launched at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on October 14, 2025.

Dr. Judith Ogbara emphasized the importance of synergy between state and federal stakeholders to ensure that humanitarian and empowerment projects achieve maximum impact. She noted that the visit formed part of GEEEEP’s broader engagement efforts to build sustainable partnerships that translate into meaningful opportunities for communities.

The Permanent Secretary, Deaconess Eno Ime Akpan, commended the vision of GEEEEP and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting initiatives that align with the Renewed Hope Agenda and promote empowerment for citizens.

The courtesy visit further underscored the shared commitment of government and non-governmental stakeholders to advancing development, inclusion, and empowerment across Nigeria.
