GEEEEP officially launched the RISE Digital Training Programme, welcoming the first batch of 100 female students to courses in Photography, Web Design, Graphics Design, and Cinematography.
The launch event featured participant registration, goodwill messages from partners, inspiring addresses, the RISE Board experience, and a tour of the centre’s facilities, marking a powerful beginning to the programme.
The initiative responds to the growing need to equip young women with relevant digital skills that can create pathways to greater opportunities, economic empowerment, and meaningful participation in the digital economy.
The programme is designed to scale to 500 participants across five batches, with continuous mentorship and collaboration with partners to support the students throughout their learning journey.
The launch also reflects GEEEEP’s commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDGs 4, 5, and 8, through education, gender equality, and opportunities for decent work and economic participation.
With the first 100 participants beginning their training, the RISE Digital Training Programme marks an important step toward ensuring that more young women have the opportunity to rise, thrive, and contribute meaningfully to national development.
